Floors Castle Horse Trials 2014
I’ve been a bit slack of late in updating our blog posts, apologies for that. What I’m about to do is bore you all to death with several but first, its about our time at the Floors Castle Horse Trials which we attended from Thursday 15th May for 3 days.
The first day was the CIC 1 and 2 star dressage which was held at the front of the castle. We went on that night to support local rider Kirsty Brewis riding Harbour Lights. Also that night we manage to snap a few of Arthur Duffort, Emily Parker and Nicola Wilson, here are some of our favourites:
Friday was the start of the show jumping and cross country ( as well as more dressage ) so we headed there for most of the day following our local riders. This continued until Sunday. Now normally I would choose our top 10 images however this time it’s a bit different, I’m going to choose just at random some of our favourites over the 3 Friday, Saturday and Sunday as we have so many that we really like!
Let me say though, over the weekend a as a whole we met up with so many lovely people it made our weekend just so brilliant and being allowed to photograph a number of riders was brilliant, so to those riders, thank you!
From our point of view the weekend seemed flawless now maybe the organisers had some upsets, I don’t know, let’s hope they didn’t and I cannot wait to go back next year. With Floors being very local for us and such a beautiful setting my diary is book for this event already!
So here are our chosen images. If you do not see your image I apologise, I have picked these at random and if I have chosen your image well I just hope you enjoy them us much as I do!
Friday 16th May:
Saturday 17th May
Another scorcher of a day at the Trials where we went to support Sarah De Leon on Camina and Sophie Tunnah on Thomas, we have also added a few extra shots in there too 🙂
Sunday 18th May
Again, Sunday was a fantastic day which summed up the whole weekend. I was hot, sun burnt and loving life!
I also nipped up to see the Dog Show with Vicky and Ben when they arrived at the Trials! Snapped a few shots but here is one! Sorry if you expected another horse photograph!
Made it this far? Go you and thank you. The final image which is one of Henny Cooper on the show jumping. I got this idea whilst watching the show jumping for quite sometime and thought I would give it a shot. I was thinking safe shot but sometimes you just have to take that risk to get something different.
All images can be seen here ( you’ll be directed automatically )
Thank you for reading this, please feel free to leave a comment and share this post with everyone, it’s much appreciated!
See you soon!
